Introducing the New Jobs Team

Aas salamu alaay kum!

(Hello in Bangladesh)

Another day, another dollar, or so I’ve heard…

Welcome back to my blog, it’s awesome to see you again.

You may have seen in my “About” pages, I have planned a structured delivery of this blog. Not to be formal and posh but rather because if I didn’t create it I may not be reliable enough to deliver up to date content on a regular basis to all my readers.

Yes, Guru’s procrastinate too sometimes…

I realise that during this week I have not stuck to my above mentioned plan but it’s just while I get into the swing of things. I assure you, come Monday your will find a fresh post sitting under the Employment Times Category (because that’s Monday’s Post) and so we will proceed.

In the mean time, while we still have some time to get to know each other a little better, I thought it would be fun to introduce to you the new Jobs team.

You would have noted from my previous post that at the beginning of 2008 or Two Thousand and Great as I like to call it Jobs was purchased by bidorbuy Inc.

Under this new management, the Jobs Team is comprised of South Africa’s finest and brightest recruitment specialists, online marketers, and web and design developers.

So without further a due, say hello to Thee Jobs Team

Left To Right: James Cacchione, Johan Pretorius, Me Jo Blog, Kerry Wepener, Hane’ Calitz, Gillian Meier, Rene’ Sorel and Camilla Patten.

Starting off with our captain, oh captain, Gillian Meier CEO of Jobs.co.za

Gillian is well experienced in both Recruitment and Online Marketing and in fact used to work with the old-old Jobs website back in the day. (Take a look at the sexy picture in my Gallery – no you piggy not of Gillian, of the Old website)

Gillian is a Certified SEO Analyst, a Certified Google Advertising Professional and was the first candidate in the country to receive her E-Marketing Professional Gold Certification. This Lady’s business card is so long she had to hire a content manager to sign her name on her behalf. She is truly talented and passionate about the work that she does. If you want to have anyone helping you to secure your dream job or even track down an ideal candidate, she’s the woman to go to.

Kerry Wepener is next up on the Who’s who list at Jobs.co.za

Kerry is our Client Relations Manager taking care of all subscribing clients. With several years of international recruitment experience under her belt, Kerry is more than equipped with just the recruiter tools that the South African Recruitment industry has been waiting for. Kerry found her job with Jobs on Jobs.co.za and is living breathing proof that Jobs is here to stay. While Kerry is a stunner, sadly boys, she is also a newlywed. We made sure to get her hitched and tied down to a good South African man to make this little jet setter sticks around to help us all out.

Next in line is Hane’ Calitz the Client Support Consultant for Jobs.co.za. Faced with a busy challenge this pretty little lady makes sure that all users of Jobs.co.za know what they are doing. Hane’ is in fact an ex old Jobs Employee were she took care of, well pretty much everything. Blessed with the face of an angel, don’t be fooled by our Client Support Consultant Hane’ has a Green belt in Muay Thai, trains five times a week and can do the three point, five step, exploding heart punch better than B in Kill Bill.

Next up; Camilla Patten is her name and online content is her game. Meet Camilla Patten the Online Content Manager for Jobs.co.za. I personally prefer to call her…Camilla the Great, Camilla the Bomb When I see Camilla I just break out into song! This Girly is just the whirly. Trained in online marketing, copywriting and SEO Copywriting, if you need the words she’s got the writing.

Next up; James, James the Designer man… seriously… if he can’t do it, NO ONE can.

James Cacchione is Jobs.co.za Web Designer extraordinaire. In all my life (and remember I’m not a spring roll anymore) I have never seen a more talented designer at work. Although I probably shouldn’t tell you, James works for Jobs as a cover – Secretly he is an Italian mmm, Oh wait sorry I just remembered, you know how it goes…if I told you he’d have to …well you know…do what those people do…Stuff you in the boot of a car blah blah blah not really worth the royalties to the story.

Second last, but not the least we have Rene’ “HeMan” Sorel our Senior Web Developer. Yes his middle name really is “HeMan” and yes…he really is the Master of the Universe. I tried to interview him earlier to get some more goods on his Psyche, but the man is a black hole of development, coding and language that even a Guru such as I cannot understand.

Finally Johan Pretorius, the Jobs.co.za Systems Integration Analyst. Johan specialises in software development, systems analysis and has specifically assisted with the data migration portion of the Jobs.co.za re-launch. Ensuring that all vital information from the old website was successfully migrated over to the new Jobs website, if you are a Job seeker and you cannot access your Profile on the new Jobs website you can contact Johan on his home number at 011 706 5276.

Well, that’s the team everyone, Hello and once again welcome to Jobs.co.za, South Africa’s Job Portal.

Now that you know who they all are, don’t be so shy, say hello and leave them a comment on this blog page.

Remember they are probably more scared of you than what you are of them, so play nicely and please don’t hesitate to contact them if you have any problems making use of the new Jobs.co.za website.

Peace Out!

Jo Blog
