Jobs.co.za Launch Event
No commentsWith so many things going on over the past two weeks at Jobs.co.za I have clean forgot to tell you about the Launch event that Jobs hosted on the 24th of July 08.
With around One Hundred and Fifty Recruitment Agencies attending the Jobs.co.za launch event, the sophisticated yet uncomplicated Helderfontein Estate superbly served its purpose as the venue for our “opening ceremony”.
Situated in the foothills of Kyalami, the Helderfontein Estate provided ambiance and class to this stirring occasion and with cocktails in hand it certainly was a fun and constructive mixer.
The purpose of the Jobs Launch event (if you haven’t yet figured it out) was to inform and educate recruiters about the new Jobs.co.za website.
Before switching the power button on the new Jobs website, we wanted to share a sneak preview with recruiters so as to spread the excitement and anticipation ahead of the actual launch.
Recruiters came from near and far to find out what all the hype was about. Greeted with the sound of harp strings being plucked and smooth sherry to warm up with, recruiters entered the Jobs Launch Event with anticipation and enthusiasm.
After having a snack or two before the launch presentation began, recruiters had the opportunity to mingle and network amongst industry peers as well as the Jobs Team, to get a personal feel for South Africa’s new Job Portal.
Alan Hoskins, the editor of HR future was the opening speaker and was kind enough to set the mood and get the audience revelling in their seats.
To follow, Gillian, our captain oh captain and CEO of Jobs.co.za continued to reveal the new Recruiter and Job Seeker Functionalities now available on Jobs.co.za.
As a member of the audience myself, it was phenomenal and so worth the effort to hear the swoons as Gillian revealed tools, functions and capabilities that the new website now caters for.
What a day, so much excitement…thinking about it now, two weeks in and I still can hardly believe that the re-launch of Jobs.co.za has in fact transpired.
Once the presentation had closed, Recruiters where handed handmade gifts (just like the website) and entered into an “on the spot” draw to win a weekend away for two.
Wouter van Wyk, representing Career Confident was the lucky winner from the launch event draw and will be whisked away on a weekend for two at the luxurious Tau Game Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve.
Congratulations Wouter! And thank you for attending our launch event; it was great to have you there.
With that said, all of us at Jobs would like to thank each recruitment company who attended and each of their company representatives for making the Jobs.co.za Launch Event unforgettable. It was wonderful to have met and mingled with you all and hopefully it won’t be too long before we meet again.
I Have included some photo’s of the launch event for your viewing pleasure below.
I hope you enjoy them.
Anyway, thank you for your time and have a terrific day.
Peace out,
Jo Blog
