M&G Partners with Jobs.co.za to launch new Job Portal.
The Mail & Guardian Online, Africa's most established internet-based news publication, announces the launch of their new online job portal - Mail & Guardian Jobs (jobs.mg.co.za).
The Mail & Guardian (M&G) partnered with South African job portal Jobs.co.za to re-design their online job advertising platform to ensure that it resonates with the caliber of audience accustomed to visiting the M&G online publication. The new job platform provides a number of benefits to M&G's advertising clients by extending their job advertising reach to both print and online, thereby expanding the advertising life-cycle of the advertisement, while providing content flexibility and extended geographical reach.
The partnership with Jobs.co.za provides added value to M&G's job advertisers in that it automatically aggregates all job content onto Jobs.co.za and its partner network, thereby further extending the job advertising reach while centralising the application management on Mail & Guardian Jobs.
M&G's job seekers will also benefit from the content partnership by being exposed to additional job advertisements (meeting the pre-defined job criteria suitable to the M&G audience) that are being advertised on Jobs.co.za, as these vacancies will automatically be published on the M&G Job site.
Olivia Bosman of Mail & Guardian, who has been instrumental in managing the project on behalf of the publication, says: 'Jobs.co.za is one of SA's most established online job sites; and we therefore felt that they were the best recruitment technology partner to align ourselves with in the redesign of the M&G Jobs site. Because the M&G user is a quality user, we wanted to offer job seekers a quality platform in which to search for the perfect position. By working closely with Jobs.co.za in the redesign of the site, we were able to pull together a quality platform that offers great functionality and aligns with the M&G brand itself because our loyal users deserve the best.'
Kerry Kerslake, Business Manager at Jobs.co.za says: 'Given our widespread advertising reach that extends beyond our job board and onto several partner websites and search engines, we believe that M&G will be better positioned to further enhance their online presence in conjunction with their print publication, thereby attracting an additional audience from both the active and passive job seeker market. Having successfully launched a number of job advertising and recruitment management solutions on behalf of our clients, our technology lends itself well to the flexibility and customisation that is required to enhance the M&G Jobs site in order to deliver a more user-friendly, functional solution for M&G's online audience.'
Gillian Meier, CEO of Jobs.co.za comments: 'The relationship with M&G aligns itself with Jobs.co.za's strategic vision in that by partnering with a niche job site such as M&G Jobs, we can further add value to the Jobs.co.za job advertiser in that all high-caliber job content will now also be published on M&G Jobs, thereby reaching more targeted audiences.'
With the revamped job portal, M&G intends to reach a larger target audience while delivering a faster turnaround time for its clients. For Jobs.co.za the relationship with M&G will provide increased volumes of jobs on offer and extended job advertising reach for its existing clients.
