INTRODUCTION
Our firm consists of two directors, Themba Vilakazi and Marius Brummer. Our name, Shongololo, was decided upon because the shongololo has many feet, which represents all the facets in the labour consultant industry. Shongololo Labour Consultants endeavours to cover all of the facets for each of our clients.

HISTORY OWNERSHIP
Marius Brummer owned his own businesses since 1996 and accrued valued knowledge and experience with his employees over the years. Since becoming involved in the labour hire industry in 2006, Marius identified numerous shortages and has undertaken to bring an entity to the industry to deal with these.

Themba Vilakazi was employed by the Department of Labour as inspector from 2001 to 2005. As inspector, Themba was trained to conduct inspections in connection with compliance to various legislations, namely Basic conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and Unemployment Insurance Act. Themba was then employed by Xstrata Mototolo Mine as a Human Resource Practitioner from 2005. In this position he gained skills, knowledge and experience in the Human Resource Program, which contains all employee’s data. Information on the Human Resource program is captured daily, be it Awop, sick leave, other authorized leave, qualification of employees, to mention but a few. Xstrata further introduced Themba to SAP and ADC (a software program.). Mototolo Mine was a new project, which had an active labour recruitment plan. Recruitment was conducted in relation to the Company’s Employment Equity plan.

Shongololo Labour Consultants will bring to this industry integrity, professionalism, balance, competence and care. We are a generalised labour hire and recruitment company, bringing to the table skilled and unskilled labour that will take the vision of our clients to the next level.

We believe in personalised service and an open door policy will be maintained in order to keep our clients and employees satisfied any time during the day or night. We are firm believers that if our employees are satisfied the client and ourselves will get the very best professional service there is to render.

We are a dedicated team of service-orientated specialists that utilises our knowledge to provide a concentrated specialised service to a limited number of selected clients. Our clients receive screened and reference checked applications.

Themba and Marius both have shares in the company and both have an active role to play in the firm. Shongololo Labour Consultants strive to empower the previously disadvantaged wherever possible without losing the importance of the value the previously advantaged brings. We believe in maintaining balance within the social structure.

We are a youth orientated recruitment company, which is also a true South African dimension, both owned and managed by black and white individuals. We not only believe in bringing the best professional service to the industry and our clients but also in empowering the people that find themselves in our employ, not only in employing them but also in providing them with the best training we can offer, whether it be in literacy skills or skills in their specific trade. High level of professionalism is placed when we identify a qualified and competent candidate for our potential clients. We also pay excessive attention to one–on-one relationships with companies and candidates and also potential future clients.
