Benchmark Recruitment's, recruitment and selection procedures are non discriminatory. To this end we support the external utilisation of laws, policies, systems, and processes, which promote placing candidates, based on competencies.
Synopsis

We have a database which at any time has approximately 15 000 candidates who are more than qualified in their occupation respectively. All our applicants go through a stringent selection process which includes four screening processes, the first get reviewed by a consultant who specializes in that certain industry, the CV then gets sent to the Divisional Coordinator who conducts a telephonic interview, once the applicant re sends his updated CV along with qualifications one of our Divisional Managers conducts a final interview and the applicant gets registered on our database.
Once we receive a job specification we search our database for suitable applicants who then go through a final criteria screening which involves matching the applicant to the needs of our client, two reference checks are done along with a criminal and ITC check and finally we verify the applicants qualifications. Through this process we can ensure that once a job specification has been received we can respond immediately with a suitable applicant and if we don't have that specific applicant on our database we have a 24 hour turn-around time whereby we will find the correct applicant.

Screening of Candidates
Benchmark Recruitment utilises the following techniques in order to screen candidates:
Each consultant specialises in one or more job sectors. As a result the consultant who deals with your company will, if necessary, call on the assistance of another consultant during the screening process.
We utilise Competency Based Recruitment Techniques, resulting not only in minimising the risk of discrimination allegations, but also in the delivery of a more efficient and focused service to our clients.
Consultants are required to solicit from the client a detailed job specification. The job specification not only details the client's needs, but also focuses on the competencies required.
The candidate interview includes the following procedures:
Completion of a checklist and rating schedule of competencies.
Behavioural event interviewing.
The consultant who works with the client company always conducts the interview, but may (and frequently does) arrange for another consultant, who has expertise in the required areas, to conduct a further interview.
Testing is carried out in order to verify competencies that cannot be verified by other means. Such tests include, but are not limited to the following competencies:

Prior to referral to the client all candidates are reference checked.
