TSN was established in 2002, and specialises in the placement of IT professionals, on both a contracting and permanent basis. TSN is a fully BEE compliant company and is wholly female owned. Our offices are based in Newlands in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, offering easy access and parking to both candidates and clients alike.

Wendy Thomson is the Managing Director and has been working in the IT industry for more than 25 years. She has fulfilled a number of roles including project management, technical development, end user support, sales and training. In 1990 she began a very rewarding career in IT recruitment and has been involved in recruiting and managing IT professionals for the past 18 years. Wendy is a member of the Computer Society of South Africa and served on the Western Cape Chapter committee for 8 years.

Zedia Walters is Director and Shareholder of the company as well as a member of the Computer Society of South Africa. She has been providing IT Contract and Permanent Recruitment Solutions since 1997 and has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and business. With a strong focus on client and contractor relationship management, Zedia has developed extensive relationships and networks in the market.

Service delivery is supported by a very efficient and capable team of consultants and administrators, as well as a financial accountant.

TSN Recruitment offers a full service for the selection and recruitment of IT specialists, from trainee level (with mentoring services if required) up to executive level.

Contracting Services

TSN Recruitment offers a full contracting service and has extensive experience in contractor placement and management. Keeping abreast with both tax and labour legislation changes is an integral part of the service we offer.

Our contracting services offer multiple level contract specialists from a Rapid Resourcing model (where we can supply 24 hour turnaround services for short term contract requirements) up to longer term contract services (6 months to a year or longer). In addition, we are also able to source project teams for our clients.

We provide all levels of skills including:

We offer a fully managed contracting service to our contractors and clients, and in most cases, our contractors are appointed as independent contractors. We call on our contractors monthly and assist in performance management where needed.
In addition, we assist our contractors to identify training and career development needs, to ensure that they maintain and develop their skills at all times.

In addition to the full contracting services, we are able to offer clients and contractors a managed contractor service, reducing the risk of independent contractor management for our clients as well as offering full contractor administration.

Permanent Recruitment

- We offer a full recruitment service at all levels of IT Recruitment from entry
- level selection up to senior management.
- We offer an outsourced recruitment model, which operates on an exclusive basis for a fixed fee, depending on the level and volume of recruitment.
- We offer a response handling facility, where the advertisement is placed on behalf of the client and responses screened and shortlisted on behalf of our clients.

Selection and Interviewing

We use competency based interview techniques when interviewing candidates, thereby maintaining objectivity within the selection process. In addition to our standard interview guides, we are able to modify and customize these for clients if requested. Targeted selection and scoring methods are integral to our selection process.

Employment Equity and Social Responsibility

TSN is a recognized BEE company with 26% of the business being held in a BEE Employee Trust. In addition to this, TSN is actively involved with a local Special Needs School and an Educare Center in a disadvantaged community. We also sponsor a soccer team in a disadvantaged community.

In addition to traditional selection and placement methods, TSN Recruitment has partnered with a number of companies to offer fully managed programs specifically targeted at developing either existing Employment Equity skills, or alternatively sourcing, managing and developing these skills in partnership with our clients.
