The incumbent will perform installation, dismantling, repairs and maintenance on conveyor belts, tips and beneficiation plant in accordance with technical specifications and adhere to safety, environment, quality and housekeeping standards

The incumbent will install and maintain all electrical equipment in his/her area of responsibility and ensure implementation and enforcement of management decisions, legal requirements and company standard policies.

The Fitter will monitor and report faulty components, plan and prepare resources for scheduled maintenance on pumps and conveyors and manufacture/install appropriate components as directed.

The appointee will ensure the smooth running of the conveyor belts and comply with company’s SD system.

The charging up of explosives underground and compliance with the company’s SD requirement will form part of the appointee’s duties.

The successful candidate will perform entry and exit medicals to specification, handle workrelated injuries (IOD) according to procedural requirements and provide primary healthcare to staff.
