Quality Control Inspector required for a Company specialising in the design and manufacturing of insulated and dry freight fibreglass truck bodies and trailers <br />IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Factory Manager<br />JOB PURPOSE: Ensure compliance to customer & product specifications as well as effective problem solving, training & technical assistance as required.<br />Pre-inspection / final inspections of all new trailer and truck bodies: Conduct inspections accurately as and when required in the production schedule.<br />Completing SABS and trailer inspection sheet on all new vehicles: Complete the inspection sheet accurately and timeously on all new jobs<br />Filling of fault matrix and graphs: Complete fault matrix and graphs and submit once a month.<br />Filling in of trailer release forms: Compile the trailer release forms as per the production delivery schedule.<br />Addressing problems with Team leaders / Charge hand / Supervisor / Production Manager: Address problems with Supervisors timeously on an ongoing basis.<br />Updating of work instructions and procedures: Update the work instructions and procedures timeously and accurately as any change arises.<br />File tail lift and cooler unit certificates: File the certificates accurately and timeously on an ongoing basis.<br />Audits and inspections on factory site: Conduct complete audits and inspections on factory once a month.<br />Present findings at meetings: Present all findings at the quality meetings once a month.<br />Quality checks on each department regarding problems: Conduct quality checks thoroughly and timeously on problems arising on an ongoing basis.<br />Addressing suppliers on quality of material: Address suppliers on quality issues on materials timeously and follow up to ensure problems are addressed.<br />Assisting factory staff with drawing problems: Assist with drawing problems on an ongoing basis.<br />Problem finding and solving: Assist with getting to the root cause of problems and resolving the issues timeously.<br />Monitoring health and safety requirements: Monitor health and safety requirements on an ongoing basis.<br />Quality Control: Ensure that the control of quality is maintained to a high standard on an ongoing basis.<br />KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:<br />Compile non conformance reports for each job inspected and present to production timeously.<br />Pass off complete chassis from trailer shop and pass of trailer after completion to customer.<br />Prepare and deliver hand over packs to sales.<br />Prepare monthly reports on QC and present to the Factory Manager.<br />Assist and investigate CAR’s on an ongoing basis.

Inherent Requirements:
Relevant Quality qualifications and strong Quality control experience with insulated and fibregalss truck bodies and trailers or closely related<br />Able to set up and run with policies and procedures,<br />Work independently, and within a team
