Leading international vehicle manufacturer seeks a Regional Sales Manager Regional who will be responsible for dealer sales, CSI, market share & profitability. The key role is to build & enhance dealer sales capability whilst achieving certain minimum predetermined outcomes/targets at dealer and regional level. <br />Position based in Cape Town<br />Dealer Development• <br />Reviewing short, medium & long term objectives and implementing appropriate plans for sales & CSI target achievement• <br />Providing professional support in the development of business/marketing plans and strategies to achieve sales & CSI objectives <br /><br />Marketing environment• <br />Developing & maintaining a good understanding of the respective markets within the context of the South African motor vehicle industry (penetration, segmentation analysis, pricing, competitor activity, trading methodologies, product strategies)• <br />Providing dealers with professional support to gain a thorough understanding of their individual markets <br />Relationship building• <br />Ensuring that dealers are kept updated on marketing & product bulletins, finance schemes and incentives• Developing effective working relationships with company and dealer personnel in order to improve management effectiveness <br />Decision Responsibilities• <br />Setting dealer targets & demonstrator mix requirements• <br />Developing dealer operating standards & procedures and ensuring adherence of dealers to these standards and procedures
Inherent Requirements:
A degree / diploma in Sales & Marketing or Business Management; a post graduate qualification would be advantageous<br />At least 5 Years’ experience in the automotive industry in Sales / Product Planning / Volume Planning / Business Management / Brand Management with a minimum of 2 years at supervisory level<br />Strong leadership ability and relationship building skills <br />Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills <br />The ability to think strategically & communicate effectively at all levels <br />Sound product and retail selling knowledge<br />A thorough understanding of financial principles / business acumen<br />Display action orientation, passion, initiative, resourcefulness and self-discipline<br />Be computer literate (MS Office)
