To take functional and operational responsibility for the Aftersales business of the Gauteng branch ensuring that it is managed and developed in the best way possible with primary focus on employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and profitability.
To take functional and operational responsibility for the Aftersales business of the Gauteng branch ensuring that it is managed and developed in the best way possible with primary focus on employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and profitability.<br />To take operational responsibility of the Aftersales business to ensure common processes and communication throughout the region.<br />Principal Responsibilities<br />Functional and operational responsibility - Gauteng Branch<br />The Aftersales role is split into 3 inter-related areas - administration, parts and workshop and are summarised:<br /><br />Administration: The role is responsible for the management of service advisors and workshop administration:<br />Ensure customers are greeted in a professional manner that is befitting of the company brand<br />Develop and manage an effective workshop booking and planning process<br />Ensure job cards are created so that all required information is in place<br />Develop the working relationship with the workshop staff<br />Ensure job cards are closed and invoiced and that company Standard Times (VST’s) are utilised to the maximum whilst keeping<br />work in process to a minimum<br />Manage the area of warranty and maintenance contracts with particular attention to:<br />Submissions;<br />Daily mail follow up;<br />Credit notes;<br />Material handling<br /><br />Parts:<br />Overall management responsibility of the parts department<br />Produce a parts marketing and sales plan which is in line or exceeds the business plan<br />Ensure parts availability is maintained at agreed levels<br />Ensure parts stock is kept at optimum an level and dead stock is minimised<br />Ensure the Logistic Partner Agreement (LPA) is fully understood by all staff members and is fully utilised<br />Continually develop the parts department employees through an agreed competence plan<br />Ensure that marketing material is current at all times and is communicated and utilised in such a way as to develop sales<br />Ensure parts staff are presentable, wear corporate clothing and always communicate in a professional way and provide the best<br />levels of customer satisfaction possible<br />Maintain the parts warehouse and goods receiving and despatch areas in a clean and organised manner<br />Support the area to ensure full participation in VGAS and PBP<br /><br />Workshop:<br />To provide the highest level of service to all customers<br />To promote the Service Department in the most effective and profitable manner<br />To ensure that performance meets and / or exceeds business plan objectives<br />To ensure that service administration and credit control policies are managed and adhered to and that expense control plans are developed and maintained<br />To lead, develop and motivate a team of technicians and supervisors by building an environment that is conducive to providing our customers with the “Service Excellence” that they deserve and are entitled to<br />Maximise productivity and efficiency<br />Ensure technical reports are compiled and submitted timeously to the Product Support Department<br />Operational Responsibility - Regional<br />Take responsibility to ensure all Aftersales business is handled in a common way throughout the region<br />Develop the sales of parts, workshop hours and other soft products throughout the region<br />Ensure correct levels of Aftersales support is provided to customers<br />Ensure full participation to VGAS and PBP within the area of responsibility<br />Carry out customer visits to develop the business<br />Secondary Areas of Responsibility<br />Support the truck sales organisation where necessary<br />Participate in seminars/meetings when required
Inherent Requirements:
