The incumbent of this position will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Finance Division, to lead the organization in Cost Management by providing the necessary information/guidance to Senior Management (Manufacturing and Finance) IRO decision making; tracking, reducing and achieving the Labour & Overhead Cost.<br /><br />Financial Accounting:<br />Processing of accounting journal entries on a monthly basis.<br />Provide supporting documents for the monthly reconciliation schedules.<br /><br />Budgets and Cost Planning:<br />Prepare, co-ordinate, manage and execute detailed annual budgets for the relevant business units using TMC methodology i.e. Gentani<br />Compile the MLTP (Medium to long-term planning)<br /><br />Cost Management:<br />Investigate and analyze non-operating income and expenditure with a view to report on monthly variances in line with IFRS and SOX requirements.<br />Prepare and update weekly and monthly cost control reports.<br />Prepare and update monthly flexing files according to Gentani or volume/days factors.<br />Update of various statistical data required by Management.<br />Prepare and update Executive Performance Cost Management Reports, Income Statement and Forecast.<br /><br />Cost Reduction:<br />Initiate cost down awareness within Production and track progress on a monthly basis using TMC methodology (Gentani etc)<br /><br />Ad-hoc Tasks:<br />Ad hoc investigations as requested by plant management and participation in the solutions.<br />Provide support to Finance concerning plant matters and costs.<br />Calculate the value cost of manufacturing and logistics processes.<br />Evaluation of cost saving.<br /><br />Staff Development:<br />Create good communication and individual development

Inherent Requirements:
NQF 5 (240 Credits), or in final year of study towards NQF6, majoring in Accounting or Management Accounts.<br />Relevant Management and Financial Accounting/Costing experience(1-3 years),<br />preferably in a Manufacturing environment.<br />Demonstrate ability to operate and interact at management levels.<br />Demonstrate ability to supervise a small team of people.<br />Advanced Computer Literacy (Essential).<br />Good Business Acumen<br /><br />COMPETENCIES:<br />Innovative Ideas (Initiative & Innovation)<br />Planning on short to midterm initiatives (Planning, Organizing & Execution)<br />Appropriate judgment and problem solving (Accuracy & attention to detail)<br />Decision Making <br />Perseverance and assertiveness (Tenacity, Resilient & Perseverance)<br />Prioritization and allocation of resources <br />Teamwork/establishment of framework and systems.<br />Appropriate evaluation and feedback.<br />Planned Development <br />Integrity
