Reporting to the General Manager<br />Responsible for legislative requirement as per the OHSAct, COIDA and Environmental Acts. <br />This also includes the management of security services and or projects as well as the responsibility to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in terms of the OHSAS18001 SHE Management system. <br />The position will have a secondary reporting line to the National Risk Practitioner in support of Risk Management objectives ie, SHE Management System (OHSAS18001), SHE Policies and Procedures, monthly reporting in terms of legislative requirements and other ad-hoc reporting. <br />

Inherent Requirements:
Minimum matric qualification or an equivalent, a Certificate in Heath & Safety (SAMTRAC, NOSA etc, National Diploma in Health & Safety would be advantageous<br />At least 6 - 7 years experience in controlled Health and Safety environment<br />Energetic and lateral thinker with high regard for integrity and accountability, suitably qualified person with knowledge of the printing environment <br />Work independently and under pressure, interpersonal and organizational skills and a good team player. Sober working habits, good time management. Willingness to work overtime and shifts as required.<br />Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged persons in accordance with the employment equity policy of the group.
