Specialist Artisan Electron Mechanic

The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of radio telecommunication systems and associated
equipment, including the Tetra network, repeater infrastructure, conventional and trunked repeaters, electronic
switches as well as 2-way radios and pagers, and their databases (MS Access).

Qualification and expertise should include: • Matric with Maths and Science • At least 3 years’ relevant telecommunication industry experience • Qualified Radio Tradesman • Knowledge of conventional, trunked and digital trunked repeater systems (Fylde – MPT, Tetra Rohde and Schwarz), telemetry, microwave systems, network principles and LINUX, and classified requirements (intrinsic safety) • Ability to identify opportunities/entrepreneurship and apply creative solutions.
