Description:
Our client in the automotive industry is looking to employ the services of a Pricing Analyst.
The duties include but not limited too:
•Executing competitor studies of other model competitors and the Independent Aftermarket to
determine the Clients market position in respect of product groups, single items and individual market areas •Derivation of price functions for original parts – price leader and price follower – and defining further price steps to achieve competitive and targeted price positioning •Establishing maximum achievable prices for assortments and vehicle models (in conjunction with possible support from Consulting Firms) •Establishing necessary discounts/ conditions to achieve increased loyalty to the Dealer Network workshops •Providing suggestions/ actions to implement a uniform price and margin logic to improve the Clients Dealer parts turnover potential •Facilitating and conducting ongoing dealer working groups to research/ review price positioning and competitor activities •Conducting ongoing research to evaluate brand (genuine Parts & Accessories) presence and overall effectiveness in the market place •Assisting in the development of marketing briefs to support price repositioning •Representing the Brand in Group Parts pricing activities
Skills Required:
•Have a recognized 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Commerce/ Procurement
•Have a minimum of 3 years motor industry experience with good knowledge of the automotive market and competitive environment
•Display an understanding of the automotive Parts and Accessories business and business management practices
•Previous experience in an OEM Parts and/or After Sales and/or Product Marketing environment will be considered an advantage
•Be highly numerate and exhibit a thorough understanding of pricing principles
•Demonstrate a structured thinking approach with a high level of detail consciousness/ accuracy
•Be innovative, resourceful, action oriented, analytically minded and be able to work independently
•Have the ability to negotiate and form sound working relationships at all levels
•Exhibit a solution-oriented approach and be able to operate effectively under pressure
•Be fully proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with well-developed report preparation/ presentation skills
•SAP, ET 2000 knowledge would be advantageous
