Great North Transport, a leading passenger transport service provider in the Limpopo Province, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following challenging positions at its Head Office in Polokwane.
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS MANAGER
(5-year contract)
Minimum requirements: • An Industrial/Labour Relations (IR) Practitioner with at least 5 years’ practical experience in managing an IR function within an organisation with organised labour, 3 of which must have been within a Passenger Transport environment • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with specialisation in IR.
Key functions: • Position the Company to fully comply with all Labour legislation • Negotiate with organised labour and maintain harmonious relations between the company and its labour representatives • Represent the Company at Bargaining Council level and the CCMA • Establish, promote and maintain sound and fair IR practices throughout the Company • Prepare and consolidate IR reports • Advise in the development and adjustment of IR policies and procedures • Provide ongoing advice to Line Management and employee representatives regarding IR matters
