Applicants must be admitted Attorneys and must comply with the definition of Principal in the Attorneys Act.

Key outputs: • Manage the functioning and administration of the Justice Centre • Supervise and guide Professional Assistants and Paralegals • Manage the allocation of cases to Professional Attorneys, Candidate Attorneys and Judicare • Prepare and maintain the annual budget of the Justice Centre • Train and develop staff • Manage individual and team performance • Efficiently and effectively manage Justice Centre operations • Manage the client database • Provide individual mentoring and coaching to supervisory management staff • Develop and implement operational plans.

Competencies (skills, knowledge and attributes) required: • Relevant tertiary qualification, BProc/LLB • At least 12 years’ post-qualification legal experience, 10 years’ post-admission experience of which 4 years must have been court experience • 5 years’ management experience • Ability to compile reports and statistics • Excellent leadership and people development skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to interpret and apply policies • Ability to plan, organise and present • Co-ordination and facilitation skills • Problem solving and motivational skills • Strategic, innovative, creative and analytical thinking skills • Understanding and application of basic computer software packages • Risk and quality management • Good judgement and decision making skills.
