Responsible for the management of the inputs and outputs of specific projects.<br />What this role has to deliver: <br /><br />Planning & Management <br />Based on sound research knowledge and understanding, provide support to exec teams in terms of project and logistic implications of different design approaches in order for them to propose a solution to Clients that is reasonable and achievable.<br />Ensure that accurate brief is taken from Client Services team<br />Identify tasks and actions for the team<br />Manage and evaluate project and project progress from inception through to conclusion<br />Take responsibility for the data and research quality (and quality delivery) of a project (including all documents such as questionnaires and instructions)<br />Take responsibility and encourages team to take responsibility for quality of projects and overall output and conduct<br /> <br />Costs <br />Accurately set project costs (based on cost briefings)<br />Realistic budgeting to ensure profitability<br />Maintain a constant focus on project profitability (including an awareness of time spent on each project)<br />Monitor and keep record of all project costs and budgets, thus being able to respond to any over-budget queries with confidence, detail and accuracy and maintain project profitability<br />Check, reconcile and sign off on invoiced and wage claims<br /> <br />Communication <br />Ensures project details and timings are accurately communicated to various departments (working with Project Administrator)<br />Liaises with all other departments - CS, Field, Cati, DPU<br />Liaises with research executives (senior level) for project detail and research requirements<br />Maintain effective working relationship with all relevant departments to support project delivery<br />Communicates brief, timings, deadlines and all relevant project issues to all relevant parties<br />Pro-actively communicate project details with the relevant departments to ensure a common understanding of the objectives of a project<br />Efficiently plan, manage and provide accurate and user friendly specifications to the relevant service departments <br /> <br />Sample <br />Design the structure of the project sample such that samples are allocated accurately (and practically) to Field Managers (Field) and Supervisors (CATI)<br />Check samples prepared by Project Administrator, with an understanding of what the research should achieve<br />Understand all sampling approaches used in the company and their implications for project design, implementation and the research outcome<br />Ensure that trip plans are checked and that they have been accurately drawn to match the sample for a study<br />Ensure that FSOC are correctly drawn and signed off spent on each project)<br />Monitor and keep record of all project costs and budgets, thus being able to respond to any over-budget queries with confidence, detail and accuracy and maintain project profitability<br />Check, reconcile and sign off on invoiced and wage claims<br /> <br />Communication <br />Ensures project details and timings are accurately communicated to various departments (working with Project Administrator)<br />Liaises with all other departments - CS, Field, Cati, DPU<br />Liaises with research executives (senior level) for project detail and research requirements<br />Maintain effective working relationship with all relevant departments to support project delivery<br />Communicates brief, timings, deadlines and all relevant project issues to all relevant parties<br />Pro-actively communicate project details with the relevant departments to ensure a common understanding of the objectives of a project<br />Efficiently plan, manage and provide accurate and user friendly specifications to the relevant service departments <br /> <br />Sample <br />Design the structure of the project sample such that samples are allocated accurately (and practically) to Field Managers (Field) and Supervisors (CATI)<br />Check samples prepared by Project Administrator, with an understanding of what the research should achieve<br />Understand all sampling approaches used in the company and their implications for project design, implementation and the research outcome<br />Ensure that trip plans are checked and that they have been accurately drawn to match the sample for a study<br />Ensure that FSOC are correctly drawn and signed off<br /><br /> <br />Instructions <br />Check instructions to other departments prepared by Project Administrator before distribution<br />Checks that all handbooks have been correctly compiled and dispatched to the correct parties and departments<br />Responsible for ensuring that the field pack is accurately prepared for printing and distribution to field<br /> <br />Questionnaires <br />Check final questionnaire from CS for logic, sensibility and practical implementation (from a logistical point of view)<br />Ensure accurate, relevant and timeous feedback on questionnaire changes to CS<br /> <br />Data <br />Check data to ensure data quality and integrity (including rowtabs, forensics, normal tables, etc)<br />Ensures all data (such as row tabs, tables, and score cards) are correct and delivered on time to CS<br /> <br />Monitoring <br />Monitors timing schedules and assumes full responsibility for ensuring that deadlines and schedules are being adhered to by all departments<br />Communicates project status to Senior Support Manager and CS teams timeously<br />Alert Senior Support Manager to any exceptions<br />Communicate project changes to relevant parties<br />Manages and evaluates team progress<br />Manage expectations across all parties during the course of a project<br /> <br />HR Responsibility<br />Responsible for monitoring and checking on Project Administrator’s output<br />Responsible for mentoring, training, and managing Project Administrator(s)<br />Maintain strong and effective working relationship with Project Administrator(s)<br /> <br />Other key responsibilities <br />Effectively manage multiple projects at a time<br />Ensure best practices are used across studies<br />Able to apply problem solving skills during the course of a project<br />Able to resolve conflict where necessary<br />Maintains personal well-being and balance<br /><br />The scope of the role:<br />Number of people reporting into this role: 1-3 (Project Administrators ) <br />Client target: Manage projects & team to contribute towards achievement of financial targets <br />Client contact: Internal client contact with senior-level client service teams <br />WPP / Regional responsibilities: none <br /> <br />

Inherent Requirements:
Tertiary education, preferably a degree (B.Com, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent)<br />Working knowledge of Word and Excel <br />Must have at least 3-5 years working experience<br />Must have a sound knowledge of the research process and marketing research<br />Must have proven record of work experience in deadline driven pressurised environment<br /><br />Behavioural dimensions:<br />Strong numeracy skills<br />Confident inter-personal skills (ability to deal with people of all levels, and in different departments)<br />Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills<br />Assertive and confident <br />Innovative <br />Very organised (and able to organise other)<br />Quality oriented<br />Detail obsessed<br />Deadline driven<br />Willingness to be accountable for project output<br />Ability to handle more than one project at a time <br />Ability to multitask under great pressure<br />Ability to effectively and efficiently work independently as well as within a team <br />Ability to control and monitor project budgets<br />Ability to successfully manage projects to strict time and quality deadlines and standard<br />bility to accurately check numbers and work with computer tables <br /><br />
