Legal Advisor (PDI)

Our client has a proud history within the South African market. Listed in the top 20 of the Top 100 Companies in SA and listed on the JSE. Our client is in the market for a dynamic, passionate individual with a legal qualification, preference will go be given to an admitted attorney with 2-3 years post articles experience in either the legal or commercial field. Must have strong knowledge of commercial related law, particularly contracts and current legislation (such as CPA, PPI, NCA). The incumbent will be providing legal services to the business.

The Job:

This position involves reviewing and giving advice on contracts, must be able to find their way through legislation on a variety of matters. This candidate must have strong drafting skills, written and spoken communication skills must be good, must be able to communicate easily with people at all levels throughout the organization. There has to be familiarity with researching law and provide written opinions.

Minimum requirements:

LLB Degree

Admitted Attorney (2 -3 years post articles experience)

Previous experience in:

Labour Law

Litigation

Corporate Governance

Company Secretarial practice

Law in Education

Law as it pertains to children

Intellectual property

Administration of companies, trusts and share incentive schemes

This role is ideal for someone who is keen to establish themselves in a commercial environment and must be prepared to acquire knowledge in areas of law where their current knowledge is lacking.
