Job Details

To provide professional Project Management services to the Supply Chain Development Department for the implementation of improvement programmes that employ best practices and ultimately lead towards the industry’s global competitiveness. Furthermore to plan, direct and coordinate designated automotive supplier development projects to achieve objectives within timeframes and funding parameters, technical requirements including ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949, customer expectations, and provide general support to the Department Manager and Senior Project Manager.



Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates all aspects of project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation;

●         Establishes teamwork and ensures that all project activities are carried out in line with the approved project plan and budget;

●         Facilitates the implementation of project activities in close cooperation with AIDC offices in other provinces where applicable, ensuring appropriate support structure for project staff;

  •    Prepares project proposals to be issued to potential clients
  • Marketing the services of primarily the SCD projects and also the greater AIDC to  the     industry;

●         Monitors and evaluates the project direction and achievements on a regular basis and proposes changes to the Senior Project Manager;

●         Carries out all the responsibilities for logistics, administration and financial aspects of the project, including appropriate control and monitoring of project resources;

●         Coordinates and manages assigned project staff, ensuring that they have clear job descriptions in relation to the project, carries out performance appraisals and provides and/or identifies staff training as appropriate;

●         Produces frequent and timely internal and external (when applicable) reports;

●         Follows up and provide regular feedback to AIDC Management and Client;

 ●         Complies with the internal ERP system policy, processes and operational requirements;

●         Provides training to clients according to set criteria;

●         Conducts public speaking including presentations at conferences, seminars, launches and workshops, to existing and new clients, investors and stakeholders;

  • Compliance to Health and Safety regulations in the workplace. 

 

Preferred qualification:

  • Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Production or Supply Chain;
  • Project Management Diploma                                                                                                                                                        

Experience:

  • Diverse 3 to 5 years experience in the automotive industry, preferably in production, supply/value chain and/or in project management;
  • Experience in a consulting company’s project management methodology and financial sustainability model, will be an added advantage;
