The Agriculture and Mining sector has a highly challenging and exciting Depot Manager position available based on the South Coast, Kwazulu Natal. This position calls for a hands-on individual with good interpersonal and communication skills. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with customers at all levels, whilst at the same time ensuring that strategic, profit and quality targets are achieved by managing the operations, finance and human resources functions effectively.

Key Duties:Manage the entire spectrum of work including revenue, cost management, vehicle utilization, tyres, fuel, vehicle maintenance, industrial relations, administration, financials as well as setting the right safety culture, and maintain very high OHASA  standardDevelop and maintain relationships with customers and further develop business opportunities      within the same customerAnalyze trends and find better methods of providing a customer with quality serviceCompile Annual budget and monthly flash and be able to identify and manage the main cost and profit drivers  in the businessSkills, Experiences and Educational Requirements: At least 3 years experience in a Managerial capacityA Diploma in Transport Logistics/Economics Management and a good understanding of and experience in financial management is essentialA broad agricultural background,with sugar cane haulage knowledge and experience being a deciding advantageMust have a proven record of his/her adaptable management style with good healthy employee relationsComputer literate and must be able to read financial statementsThe applicant must be willing to travel extensively between contracts
