Job Details

To ensure exposure, increased sales and achievement of targets by representing the company and its brands to the trade at an in-store level and growing the customer base within region/area



Minimum Requirements

Grade 12

Driver’s license with own vehicle

MS Office

Minimum two years’ experience in a sales environment (preferably within liquor industry but not vital)

Must be willing to work for 3 months

Job Specification

In-store sales and marketing

Based on call cycles, visit stores to manage stock, check stock availability and sell product to the store

Implement theme promotions, promotional and point of sale placements at store level

Implement and execute ad hoc distribution and promotional activities

Ensure all lines are on display

Monitor stock levels

Develop relationship with store manager, informing him/her of promotions and stocks

Complete floor walks to ensure excellence

Discuss stocks, rate of sales and negotiate displays and pricing

Place accurate orders with call centre

Identify and manage trade returns to minimise loss

Negotiate forward share and new listings 



Effective Administration

Compile weekly and monthly reports based on customer liaison and sales

Identify challenges and corrective actions

Ensure account forms are completed and delivered

Ensure effective use of hand held technological tools 



Effective call cycle management

Identify call cycles and ensure implementation thereof

Administer and complete according to requirements

Inform client of call cycle and ensure suitability to client’s needs 



Customer service and satisfaction

Gather feedback from customer complaints, queries and requests and ensure resolution

Communicate and maintain knowledge of promotions /out of stocks/products/delivery date planner, etc.

Build and maintain strong working relationships  



Effective Self-Management

Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained

Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures

Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands

Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change

Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with abilities to understand and respond to organizational needs
