 In providing total solutions for the conversion of natural resources into marketable products, the Engineering department seeks the services of a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer who specialises in structural steel and concrete design.

 The successful candidate will report to the Functional Manger of Civil, Structural & Infrastructure Engineering.  The successful candidate will be required to provide engineering solutions, and detailed Civil / Structural design within the Civil / Structural department.

 Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce cost-effective and safe civil and structural designs
• Work closely within the scope, tonnage and man-hour budgets
• Adhere to the project program
• Adhere to Company specifications, guidelines and statutory codes of practices
• Interact efficiently with Drawing Office and other departments
• Maintain an effective record-keeping system

• Critical evaluation skills
• Problem solving skills

The candidate will be a B.Eng. or B.Sc. graduate, with preferably a MEng qualification.  Registration with ECSA as a professional engineer is compulsory.  At least 10 years work experience in a design office within the mining / industrial / commercial industry is deemed advantageous.
