JHB GAUTENG. URGENT !!! Position: Contracting Civil and Surface Draughtsperson for leading International Engineering and Consulting Company based in Craighall Johannesburg Period: 1 February 2012 to 30 April 2012 with possible extension based on project requirements Qualifications: - Diploma in Technical Drawing / N6 Technical Drawing - Certificate in AutoCAD 2010 or later Knowledge: - Coal Mine Infrastructure Layout - GIS / Geospatial Data Management - Co-ordinate systems and geographical distance calculations and conversions Experience: 3 years as a Civil / Surface Draughtsperson within the mining industry

Duties:
- Producing of Civil and Surface Layouts, General Arrangements and Detail drawings.
- Incorporating files from others into site layouts.
- Design, drafting and checking of drawings.
- Maintaining a comprehensive and well managed library of symbols and constantly expanding on this
- Filing and archiving of all project drawings including those produced by external parties.
- Maintaining a data base of drawing files.
- Review of externally produced drawings including checking of interfacing between design parties.
- Ensure that all project drawings produced comply with the project standards, CAD Systems and Software.
- Ensure that all drawing work is carried out in conformance with project procedures and relevant legislation.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, multitask and work under pressure at appropriate times - Work in a sensible and safe manner at all times and comply with the requirements of office safety procedures.

Remuneration Package:
- Negotiable, depending on candidate but in line with commensurate rates in RSA.
