The Fitter will monitor and report faulty components, plan and prepare resources for scheduled maintenance on pumps and conveyors and manufacture/install appropriate components as directed.

Responsibilities: The Fitter will monitor and report faulty components, plan and prepare resources for scheduled maintenance on pumps and conveyors and manufacture/install appropriate components as directed. He/she will identify and respond to work or environmental hazards as well as monitor and rectify substandard conditions.

Requirements: The successful candidate will need an N3 or equivalent, a relevant Trade Test and a valid trade certificate (Section 13) as a Fitter. Previous supervisory experience and 2-3 years’ experience in mechanised or non-mechanised mining operations would be advantageous. The ability to function independently, good interpersonal and excellent writing skills
are essential, along with computer literacy (MS Office) and the ability to communicate in English.
