Job Details

We are looking for an experienced receptionist to work with friendly, professional people in a medium sized company in Hatfield, Pretoria. ONLY EXPERIENCED SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS WILL BE CONSIDERED.



Primary Role and Responsibilities:

  • Professionally and efficiently answer and direct incoming telephone calls following proper business phone etiquette and policies
  • Exhibit a professional customer service attitude that portrays a positive impression of the company at all times
  • Maintain a reliable messaging system to ensure the prompt return of calls by all staff members
  • Provide information to callers as required
  • Greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them appropriately
  • Deal effectively with queries from visitors and callers
  • Read, write and communicate fluently in English and have proper grammatical speech
  • Ensures knowledge of staff whereabouts and maintains accurate and complete sign-in/sign-out procedures for on-site staff
  • Efficiently use the features of the company telephone system
  • When on duty, ensures the reception station is staffed 100% of the time
  • General administrative and clerical support
  • Receive postal and courier mail and deliveries and notify recipients
  • Schedule appointments when required and maintain appointment schedule
  • Organise meetings when requested
  • Maintain a neat and professional working space in the reception area
  • Reports to work regularly and punctually
  • Other administrative duties as may be required by management from time to time
  • Comply with the company dress code and other policies

 

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Minimum of Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as receptionist and administrative assistant
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint
  • Customer service skills, principles and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan effectively

 

Working Conditions

  • Based at Hatfield, Pretoria
  • Normal office environment with office hours 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday

 

Remuneration

  • R60 000 per annum cost to company based on experience
  • No medical aid, no pension/provident fund
