The Continental Grant Programme Coordinator will be responsible for guiding the implementation and monitoring of the programme in the countries and preparing a planning/budgeting frame for these countries.
SOS Children’s Villages is an international social development organisation, focusing on the care and support of orphans and vulnerable children. We support families and communities to build the capacity to protect and care for their children, through our Family Strengthening Programmes. Where children have already lost the care of their biological family, we offer long-term family-based care through our SOS Children’s Villages. In these ways, we support orphans and vulnerable children to be able to grow in a caring family environment.

This opportunity is based in Johannesburg on a fixed-term contract
Reporting to the Continental Family Strengthening Programme (FSP) Advisor, the Continental Grant Programme Coordinator will be responsible for guiding the implementation and monitoring of the programme in the countries and preparing a planning/budgeting frame for these countries. He/she will be expected to coordinate the submission of country plans, budgets and reports, and will coordinate and assure the quality of the annual programme plans, capacity building plans and overall budget frames. In addition, the incumbent will coordinate and support the organisation of Steering Committee meetings and will represent SOS Children’s Villages International.
To be considered, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s) in a relevant discipline, such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, Community Development or Public administration. This must be supported by at least 4 years’ practical experience in programme/donor cycle management in an NGO environment with funding and compliance processes for public funding. Experience in multi-actor consortia, crosscountry and cross-organisational processes is also needed, and candidates must be able to facilitate virtual and multi-location processes. The nature of the post demands excellent communication and networking skills and a willingness to travel frequently.
