Market Analysis, Trading experience and reporting is essential!

Insurance background would be highly advantageous!

Salary negotiable on experience.

Minimum requirements:

• Qualification: Degree in Finance or Economics;
• Trading experience essential! No training will be given;
• Reporting skills;
• Market Analysis experience;
• Insurance / Re-insurance industry experience will be highly advantageous.

Details pertaining to the Vacancy:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Market Analysis:
Monitor the financial markets and review Money Market instruments to determine value add to the Portfolio, within guidelines.

Trading Experience:
Trade and manage the Money Market (MM) fund and ensure a well balanced MM Portfolio within the parameters of the investment guideline and risk management framework.

Reporting:
Analysis of the MM environment;
Portfolio valuations;
Investment income analysis/projections;
contribute towards quarterly reports.

Administration:
Transaction capturing;
Updating of rates/yields on MM instruments;
Reconciliations;
Compliance monitoring;
Cash flow management.


BEHAVIOURAL DIMENSIONS

Eye for market opportunities and financial detail;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Attention to detail;
Deadline driven.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Finance or Economics

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Fundamental Analysis (Macro);
Yield Analysis/calc.;
Thorough knowledge in MM instruments;
Investment modelling/Risk management skills.

Dealing;
Auctioning;
Networking with dealers/brokers.

Understand MM mechanics;
Reporting skills (Excel: Advanced).

Thorough knowledge of procedures in the Asset Management environment (Back and Front Office);
Financial Accounting understanding.
