Exciting opportunity exists for an MIS Analyst to be based at a Financial Institution in Johannesburg who would be dealing with the Production and Analysis of segment Financials for home loans.

Role

• The MIS Analyst will be responsible for the punctual production of accurate segment financials (these include breakdowns of the  Personal and Business Segments, Affordable Housing as well as other product splits not catered for in SAP)  for Home Loans and will be expected to continually refine the process to improve the accuracy of the financials. This also includes assistance in understanding the vintage sensitivities within the portfolio.
• Recovering or claiming of the difference between portfolio and staff rate from staff with home loans
• within the bank.
• Calculation of the decay period of the existing home loans and the prepayment associated with it.
• One-time ad hoc MIS requests/Analysis that can be sent over to production

Requirements:

• Minimum educational requirement:  Bsc/Bcom with Finance, Maths or Econometrics or equivalent qualification
• Banking knowledge would be an advantage
• 2-3 Years in an analytical role
• Management accounting reporting in the financial services sector.
• MIS(SQL, Cognos)
• Financial modelling and report building.

• Strong Microsoft skills (Advanced Excel skills critical).
• Ability to learn new programs quickly
• Good EQ (interpersonal skills)
• Preference to have SQL experience
• Mathematical competence
