Job Objectives

  • Set and monitor clear performance objectives for all team members and ensure they are achieved by training and developing a professional, highly skilled and motivated team. This will involve preparing and implementing development plans for each individual, on a one-on-one basis and holding team meetings.
  • Develop a clear succession plan and contribute to the succession planning process, so that the company can draw upon a pool of development \"talent.\"
  • Co-ordinate the teams activities and frequency of account contact to meet standards of service required.
  • Act as a central point for effective communication:
  • Interpret and analyse information in respect of account, consumer, competitor activity and opportunities for future development.
  • Ensure accurate, clear and timely team briefing, which would include promotional activities, other initiatives and service objectives.
  • Translate the client strategy into an agreed annual plan to achieve short and long term objectives.
  • Ensure the effective completion of the areas administration including, store list, booking sheets, wage sheets, training documentation, special reports and each individual\\\'s personal expenses.
  • Monitor, control and report expenditure against all financial budgets assigned to the business.
  • Provide input and take responsibility for areas forecast.
  • Maintain visible productive relationships with customers and trade.
  • Manage third party agency\\\'s
  • Manage all company assets and ensure accurate use of promotional material.

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) ideal.
  • HG Mathematics in Matric ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT THIS
  • Min 5 years operational experience

 

Knowledge

 

  • Area\\\'s account base and trade structure
  • Competitor activities and resources
  • FMCG sales/marketing experience 5 years experience

 

 

Experience

 

  • Management in a similar company ideal.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in terms of market share capture, market penetration, customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ideally able to demonstrate successes in leading, building and developing a team
  • Minimum 5 years operational experience.
