Applications are invited for the following vacancy at Pikitup’s Head Office in Braamfontein:

Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)
Department: Human Resources

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the GM: Human Capital Development and Talent Management, the incumbent will:

  • Constitute participative structures and draft terms of reference in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Perform secretarial duties in Skills Committee meetings by convening meetings, writing and distributing minutes, booking venues, catering and arranging all logistics
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Capture agreed plan, targets and employee profile information from Steering Committees into the WSP template
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Pikitup with regard to training and development
  • Update the Annual Training Reports (ATR) monthly
  • Interpret the ATR and advise the company on progress in relation to Skills Development, Employment Equity, recruitment, demographics, etc
  • Submit the WSP and ATR reports once a year to LGSETA
  • Inform stakeholders on training developments at all times
  • Handle, manage and update all related queries by liaising with relevant departments
  • Coordinate and develop employment equity plans from Pikitup by convening EE Committees
  • Provide advice to Management and Labour, HR and Committees on recruitment
  • Make presentations to EXCO, Operations Management, GM forum, Regional Managers forum and the Board on the skills process and Employment Equity
  • In addition to the training and developmentbased inputs, the incumbent will drive the secretariat portfolio for the Employment Equity Committee (which mainly involves statutory reporting and communicating with relevant stakeholders, both external and internal).


Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Training or equivalent
  • 3-4 years’ relevant experience
  • Knowledge of relevant HR legislation
  • Knowledge of Employment Equity legislation
  • Computer literacy.
