Senior Manager

Salary: R331 548 - R430 380 per annum (plus benefits) (Ref. PELE026)

Minimum requirements:

• BSc degree in Electrical Engineering or NQF Level 6 equivalent and at least a minimum Level 5 qualification in the field of Accounting, Finance, Economics or a National Diploma in Public Finance Management and Administration (SAQA qualification ID No 49554) and relevant experience as well as the following competencies as prescribed in the National Treasury Minimum Competency Framework: Operational Finance Management, Governance, Ethics and Values in Financial Management; Risk and Change Management, Project Management, Legislation, Policy and Implementation and Supply Chain Management
• Government Certificate of Competency
• Registered with ECSA
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of and experience in municipal procedures
• Communication, interpersonal and management skills
• Driver’s licence.

Core responsibilities:

• Manage, supervise and control staff, materials, finances and requirements of the Customer Care Area • Manage the installation and operation of the vending system
• Compile the draft capital budget
• Manage the execution of the operational procedures within the relevant Customer Care Area
• Ensure the drawing up and implementation of maintenance schedules for testing protection/SCADA systems on the network
• Ensure the installation and maintenance of traffic lights, street lights and sports field lights
• Manage projects
• Ensure requirements of NEC and Occupational
