Major listed company requires the professional services of a Business Unit Financial Manager to join their highly successful and dynamic team based in the East of Johannesburg

Reporting Structure:  Finance Divisional Director

Shared Services team provides services and support to the Group in the following key areas:

1. Finance
2. Payroll
3. IT
4. Facilities
5. Legal

The Finance team consists of the following groupings:

General Ledger

Creditors

Payroll

BU Financial Management

BU Invoicing

BU Credit control

REQUIREMENTS

B Comm. Accounting / B. Compt (completion a must)

Min 4 – 6 yrs post article full finance function

Hands-on processing and reporting experience on any ERP system, preference will be given to BAAN

MS Excel (Advance)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• BU specific general ledger reconciliations
• Deferred revenue and deferred cost control and reconciliation
• Commission calculations
• Liaise with other areas of finance in relation to processing of transactions and reconciliations
• Preparing monthly management accounting packs
• Assisting in preparing Annual Budgets for the respective BU’s
• Assisting in regular forecasts for the respective BU’s
• Ad-hoc reporting and other requests from the BU’s
• Assisting in ensuring timeous:
  • Distribution of financial information to BU’s
  • Submission of financial information by the BU’s to Shared Services
  • Collection of BU debtors
• Managing roll-out of processes and procedures to allocated BU’s
• Special projects and ad-hoc assignments
