Development and maintenance of ETL processes - (Datastage 7.5 EE / IIS Datastage v8.x EE) in SQL programming

Key Result Areas

• To translate Functional Requirements into technical ETL solutions following a best practice development methodology with all associated documentation and governance requirements.
• Building robust, scalable technical ETL solution to meet business requirements.
• To code ETL solutions in line with business requirements (including enhancements and incidents to existing processes and procedures, development of new functionality, etc) within broader vision.

-Converting the physical data integration models and other design specifications to source code.
-Assists in development and maintenance of ETL technical functionality.
-Performing unit testing on developed ETL functionality.
-Performing performance tuning on existing ETL functionality.

• Ensure integrity and delivery of data from the source systems to the target system/s.
• Provide assistance in the formulation of test cases and implementation approach.
• To maintain and do problem resolution within existing processes.
• To liaise with Users, Business Analysts and supporting staff.
• To provide written and verbal feedback to users, team members and management.

Qualifications
A formal degree/diploma either in Information technology, engineering or business and/or appropriate technology vendor certifications.


Experience
At least have:

• At least 3-5 years of ETL experience (Datastage 7.5 EE / IIS Datastage v8.x EE).
• Proficient in SQL programming experience.
• Proficient experience in technologies like Cognos, Bobj, SAS, Qlikview etc.

Experience in the following would be a distinct advantage but is not essential:

• Having worked with various databases and data at all levels e.g.modeling (Data architecture), profiling, quality, warehousing, reporting (i.e.Business Intelligence). 
• Mainframe.
• Experience in the Financial/Insurance industry.
