We are looking for an unusually diverse candidate that can take on the role of project, event & sponsorship management for our new Virtual Expo’s business unit.
Virtual fairs have the capability to dramatically enhance corporate recruitment and branding, and are today considered one of the most promising tools to generate quality job applicants. Virtual fairs provide an environment for like-minded participants to connect with one another and with companies without travel, via the Internet, no matter where they are located geographically, to exchange valuable information.
As event manager, you will be expected to achieve optimal event participation and revenue creation. Your role will include the following:
• Project manage the development of the micro-site for niche virtual fairs.
• Compile a prime target list of sponsorship companies and potential exhibitors.
• Drive and communicate public relations, marketing and advertising initiatives to attract online visitor attendance, sponsors and exhibitors.
• Package, promote and sell exhibition booths and promotional branding sponsorship opportunities.
• Secure key sponsors early to support marketing plan.
• Identify and secure ongoing up-selling and sponsorship opportunities with exhibitors for ongoing brand awareness.
• Complete co-ordination and preparation of online events.
• Co-ordination and uploading of content running parallel to pre-registration.
• Co-ordinate the structure of the online job fairs as well as all promotional material and exhibitor requirements timeously.
• Provide feedback (reporting and statistics) internally to management as well as the sponsoring exhibitors.
• Ensure overall profitability and success for the online fairs.
This role requires an individual with diverse skills; however the primary skills that we are looking for include the following:
• Strong project management ability.
• Excellent people skills with outstanding sales AND marketing experience.
• Excellent business acumen with the ability to present and sell at top corporate level.
• Previous event co-ordination and/or sponsorship sales experience an advantage.
• Advanced internet knowledge and experience is required in this role.
• Any experience in Human Resources and/or recruitment in addition to the above would be beneficial.
• Own reliable transport.
• You cannot be shy or a scatter brain in this role!
