Our Client one of the leaders in the Logistics industry is looking to employ a Transportation Activation Lead responsible for the Design, implementation and management of the transportation solution to the Employer and its customer.

Required:
Responsiblities: Strong experience with home delivery to consumer market would be advantageous Understanding of fleet requirements Ability to transition an already existing fleet to future requirements Roll out in conjunction with transition plan Understanding of end customer needs Costing 7-10 years experience in transport, planning and supply chain integration advantageous Project management experience would be advantageous but not essential Ability to liaise with the clients – focus on service and solution delivery Relevant qualification Contract negotiation skills/experience

Duties Design of fleet Design of the process KPI management Administration of the delivery process Liaise with relevant IT personnel regarding systems requirement, design and implementation Develop commercial models for transportation Manage potential service providers Manage the transition of the existing Ellerines drivers Preparation of contracts. Prepare costing and proposals to carriers Sign off on SOP’s Focus on operational excellence and on-going cost reduction
