A leading logistic company is currently looking for a Distribution Centre Manager responsible for the design and commission of warehouses for a new project implementation and the effective management thereof. (National WH Manager)

Skills

Required:
Requirements: 7-10 years experience in Warehousing and Supply Chain management Project management experience would be advantageous but not essential Experience with re-organisation of networks including physical warehouse movement is vital. Ability to liaise with the clients – focus on service and solution delivery Understanding of network transportation and inventory modelling Relevant qualification Warehousing/Logistics/Distribution qualification Furniture retail warehousing experience crucial

Additional:
Key Responsibilities: Manage the DC design and construction process in conjunction with external consultants. Oversee the commissioning and go-live of warehouses. (support transition) Understand the costing of the warehouses Understand the operational costing of the warehouse. Liaise with IT regarding warehouse management systems Sign off on SOP’s Risk management of the DC’s Run multiple warehouses nationally in line with budget, KPI, SHEQ requirements Focus on operational excellence and on-going cost reduction
