Health Service Manager - Johannesburg North
Job Details
A Health Service Manager with relevant business degree/diploma is required, preferably with clinical experience and insight.
Duties
will include:
Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of the nursing personnel.
Maintain communication between governing boards, medical staff, and department
heads by attending Board meetings when invited and coordinating
interdepartmental functioning.
Plan, implement and administer programs and services in a health care or
medical facility, including personnel administration, training, and
coordination of nursing staff.
Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, computerized diagnostic and
treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, health
insurance changes, and financing options.
Monitor the use of diagnostic services and staff to ensure effective use of
resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.
Regular liaise with Medical Doctors, the Psycho social team and Allied
Services.
Coordinate and facilitate communication between and within Health Care, IPU,
Doctors, Social workers and Pharmacists
Provide strategic planning and vision
Advisor and Supporter:
· Advise and support nursing staff
· Hold weekly meetings
Administrator:
· Effectively run the nursing departments
· Ensure statistics are accurately recorded
· Write relevant monthly and weekly reports
Networker:
- Improve public awareness through extensive networking
Requirements
A relevant business degree/diploma
is required, preferably with clinical experience and insight
- Excellent managerial, leadership qualities and interpersonal skills are
necessary
- Candidate must be able to apply and manage a budget
- must be well organised and demonstrate attention to detail
- Your PR and networking skills will also be utilized
