SAP Authorization Specialist
REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric/Grade 12 qualification
• A further qualification in Information Security would be advantageous
• A thorough understanding and practical knowledge of security and authorization methodologies, including segregation of duties
• Experience in SAP R/3, ECC, BI, EP authorizations including design, implementation , testing and support
• Experience in and knowledge of the healthcare industry beneficial

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
SAP Enterprise Solution
• User administration which covers user creation, modification, deletion, role creation and assignment across the spectrum of the SAP enterprise.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting of authorization issues in all SAP modules.
• Authorization object maintenance which covers creation of objects, modification and deletion as well as the linking thereof to transactions.
• Analyzing authorization objects and providing analysis on the granting of these objects to business users.
• Ability to audit the authorization setup as well as provide necessary and meaningful reporting.
• Perform periodic reviews of users and roles in the system.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the segregation of duty concept with respect to SAP security implementations.
• Monitor segregation of duties within role creation, design and deployment.
• Work with the functional team on authorization and security issues. Assist them in identifying the requirements to build new roles in the system.
• Solve security related problems escalated by functional teams.
• Participate in project initiation, blueprinting and roll-out when required.
• Co-ordinate testing of changes to roles and security.
• Translate business requirements into appropriate roles and profiles.
Existing Systems and Technology
• Assist in the review and development of prevalent security polices for the organization.
• Participate in security developments within applications being utilized throughout the organization.
• Ensure that the security policies and procedures are being adhered to within organization.
• Enforce compliance measures and policies to minimise any security breaches.
• Proactively monitor application access and act on potential security violations.
• Work with internal and external auditors to provide information as requested.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of new security technologies and solutions applicable to the organizations applications.
