Country Manager: Zambia
Starke Ayres, a leading vegetable seed company with over 130 years’ experience, now invites a self-disciplined, target-driven individual to join our
International Trade Division.
This role will primarily focus on the sale and promotion of products in the African region. A client- and service-oriented approach will assist in building and maintaining long-standing relationships with new and existing clients, including commercial farmers. Your main duties will include managing sales agents and distributors, as well as compiling sales budgets and forecasts, ultimately generating and expanding sales. Furthermore, you will execute and oversee marketing plans for different regions and identify different market segments in order to provide an adequate product mix.
Minimum requirements:
- Marketing diploma or related qualification
- 5 years’ relevant experience in agricultural seed sales/similar
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ablility to work independently
- Computer literate
- Dynamic and self-motivated
- Knowledge of the area will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to relocate to Zambia.
In order to obtain the required work permit, a South African police clearance certificate will be essential. The role will involve extensive travelling into the African region, thus a valid passport is essential.
