My client is looking for an individual who\'s aim is to collaborate with all stakeholders across the Trading Value Chain, assist business to implement products and to form a documented basis of knowledge, among other responsibilities.

Purpose of Job:
The aim of the Front Arena developer is:
1. Collaborate with all stakeholders across the Trading Value Chain.
2. Assist business to implement products

3. To form a documented basis of knowledge which contextualize:
• The products and product lifecycles
• The system Landscape
• The process landscape
• The interdepartmental and intersystem interaction and interfaces
• The information and data landscape

The ability to critically asses, optimise and validate systemic elements which could be related to:
• People
• Process
• System and data elements

- Detail Analyses of existing activities, processes, manuals and procedures and then recommending, defining, requesting, testing and documenting proposed changes.
- The operational deployment of improvement and change initiatives within the Trading business area.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong business skills, having a solid mathematical and intuitive understanding of derivative products and risk management.
• Knowledge of technology platforms, databases, operating systems and programming languages.
• Must be able to work under clear direction and also be a motivated self-starter who does not require constant micro-management.
• Must be a clear thinker who is able to clearly articulate complex concepts to a broad spectrum of internal customers who are themselves experts in their field.
• Tactical development and support of spreadsheet tools for traders, using Excel and VBA

Experience:
• 3-4 years within a similar role, in an Investment Banking or Hedge Fund environment.
• Good product knowledge
• Object-oriented programming experience in C /Java/C#/Python/.Net or some other scripting language
Advantageous:
• Direct experience of working with traders and quantitative analysts in a derivatives environment.
• Familiarity of Front Arena development.
• Appreciation of XML technologies.
• Training in user interface techniques

Education:
A degree level qualification in a numerate discipline, e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science
Minimum 2nd year Mathematics
