As Sales Representative, you will be responsible for a broad scope of responsibilities in a business to business environment including, but not limited to the areas of, new business development, account management, operational funnel management.



Company Profile
ARV Access for Africa is a not for profit organisation focused on the improvement of access to quality healthcare services in developing countries, by means of the management of a buffer stock of ARVs, training in supply chain management and capacity building.   

For our small ARV buffer stock division, we are now looking for two ambitious ARV Sales Representatives as to expand AA4A\'s sales team. 

The Job
  • New business development: acquisition of prospects by means cold calling, customer visits & presentations, attending network events and coordinated marketing activities.
  • Account management: develop existing accounts by means of customer visits, product trainings, monitoring of potential stock outs, follow ups on outstanding bids, conduct after sales activities and act as a single point of contact throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Operational funnel management: respond to and follow up on all urgent / potential customer enquiries and quote requests, generate quotations and liaise with purchase, ensure an up to date CRM system and commercial administration of all sales efforts. Contribute to the product database including price lists.
  • Market intelligence: monitor and report on market trends, threats & opportunities and document country and customer specifics.
  • Miscellaneous projects: various sales activities necessary as to support the business of other AA4A divisions or any of its affiliates.
 Qualifications and Experience
  • (whole)Sales experience preferably in healthcare /pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge about ARV treatment schedules
  • Previous exposure to an international environment is a strong plus
  • No 9-to-5 mentality and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Diligent & hands on approach
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Good listener
  • Fluency in English
  • Abillity to work in a small team
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Sub-Sahara Africa
  • In possession of a valid open work permit for South Africa
