Manage Human Resource practices and capacity development.

Senior General Manager: Corporate Services (1 Post) (Ref. LDHSD 02/001)
Salary package: R976 317 per annum (inclusive remuneration package) (Level 15)
Head Office (Polokwane)
Requirements: Qualifications and competencies:
- An appropriate Bachelor’s degree or three-year National Diploma
- An appropriate postgraduate qualification will be a strong recommendation).

- A client-focused Human Resource strategist
- A good background in turnaround and change management strategy
- Proactiveness and independence
- The ability to work in a highly pressured environment and driven by a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines

Knowledge and skills:
- Relevant prescripts and procedures pertaining to Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Human Resource Development and Organisational Development, as well as the legislative framework governing the Public Service
- The Public Service Act, 1994, as amended
- Public Service Regulations, 2001, as amended
- The Labour Relations Act, 1995, as amended
- The Public Finance Management Act, 1999
- The Skills Development Act, 1998
- Research
- Strategic planning
- Policy analysis and development
- Planning and organisation
- People management
- Financial management
- Good communication
- Policy formulation and co-ordination.
Key performance areas:
- Provide leadership and strategic management in the following areas: * Human Resource Management and Development Services * Human Resource Planning and Research * Government Information Management and Technology * Social Development Human Resources * Employee Health and Wellness Programme
- Manage Human Resource practices and capacity development
- Manage Human Resource organisational strategy and planning
- Manage and utilise human, physical and financial resources in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.
