Senior Manager: Human Capital Management
Salary: R652 572 per annum (all-inclusive). The successful candidate will be required
to sign a performance agreement and annually disclose his/her financial interests

Requirements: * Recognised degree/diploma in Human Resources Management/Human Resources
Development/Behavioural Sciences with a minimum of five years’ management experience * Deep
understanding of human resource management, human resource utilisation and capacity development,
employee health and wellness, employee relations, people management and labour relations * Ability
to interact at both strategic and operational levels * Ability to conceptualise and drive the strategic
planning processes * Extensive knowledge of legislation and policies governing human resource
management, development and labour relations * Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance
Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Employment Equity, Skills Development and Labour Relations
Act l Computer literacy l Valid Code EB driver’s licence.

management * Change management l Knowledge management * Service delivery innovation * Problem
solving and analysis * People management and empowerment * Client orientation and customer focus.
Key performance areas: * Be responsible for the strategic repositioning of Human Resources within
the Department and the overall strategic management of the Directorate: Human Capital Management
* Ensure that HR becomes a strategic business partner and plays a greater strategic role in leveraging
service delivery within the Department * Manage human resource utilisation and capacity development,
employee health and wellness, employee relations and people management * Manage and provide
strategic leadership to Senior Management and all components reporting to the incumbent * Manage,
co-ordinate and initiate programmes and processes that promote organisational development and job
evaluation * Monitor and exercise control over the budget and expenditure for the Directorate and
ensure effective utilisation of financial resources * Manage staff.
