The Project Officer will play a key role in managing the relationship between CARE and its sub grantee partner organizations.

CARE is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations. Its current focus is on women and girls.
It manages and supports programs related to HIV/AIDS and health care, voluntary savings and loans,
income generation, capacity building of CBOs and local NGOs and efforts to improve local governance.

CARE South Africa is looking for motivated self starters to fill the following vacancies;

Project Officer

The Project Officer will play a key role in managing the relationship between CARE and its sub grantee partner organizations. S/He is responsible for all communications between CARE and selected partner organizations; finalising sub-grant agreements; monitoring progress against plans and budgets; submitting reports on time and supporting the delivery of capacity building programmes.

Minimum requirements are: • A tertiary qualification in management, social or health sciences; • 2 to 3 years experience in project management or grant management; • Previous track record of supporting CBO’s and local NGOs; • Good written skills and computer literacy (Word and EXCEL) is essential; • A valid drivers license • Fluency in the local language is a requirement;
