Medical Practitioner (Ref. MP-0210)

We seek a person in possession of an MBChB who is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. A proven track record as a General Practitioner and previous Trauma/ICU and Anaesthetic experience are essential. He/she must be prepared to do standby and work overtime when required and be declared medically fi t for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at a relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre. Well-developed English verbal and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to liaise with all levels of staff. A diploma in Emergency Medicine, ACLS/APLS/ATLS Certifi cate, diploma in Anaesthetics/ Surgery and diploma in Occupational Health will be advantageous.

Duties and responsibilities include: ● Providing and monitoring quality patient care ● Costeffective patient management ● Undertaking managerial responsibilities ● Organising preventive medical programmes ● Promoting health education ● Working with staff members as part of a team ● Participating in CMEs (Continued Medical Education).
