This customer-orientated team player must be in possession of a Diploma in General Nursing, Community Health and a Diploma/Certifi cate in Occupational Health. This must be supported by at least 3 years’ experience in occupational health management and registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Insight into South African
compensation laws and their application and the ability to interpret chest X-rays, spirometry and audiometry results are essential, as is the ability to perform well under pressure and network with important stakeholders. Above-average communication and interpersonal skills, as well as computer literacy in the Microsoft Offi ce Suite, are further requirements
for this position. A diploma in Primary Health Care, Nursing Administration, a certifi cate in Supplementary Diagnostic Radiography and previous experience in a supervisory capacity will be advantageous. A Code 08 driver’s licence and own transport are essential.

Duties and responsibilities include: ● Medical surveillance examinations ● Electronic capturing of examination fi ndings ● Issuing and authorisation of Certifi cates of Fitness Process ● Clinical patient management ● Supervision of a multidisciplinary team ● Training and education of all members of the team ● Planning and administration with respect to efficient day-today running of the unit ● Generating, understanding and reporting of relevant statistics to the Occupational Medical Practitioners and Gold Fields Health and Safety teams.
