Job Title: Investment Accountant Location: JHB Central Salary: R 200k – R 300k CTC

A company in the financial sector is seeking an Investment Accountant to manage accounting reports of 34 funds (investments, cell captives, unit trusts, pension funds and annuities), authorize and approval of journals and recons, instruct fund managers to invest or disinvest portfolio units trust and commission calculations, prepare reconciliations for the investment manager and group's general manager, investment queries and preparations for auditors (internal and external), assisting and handling both external and internal auditors, produce supporting schedules for the company's finance group and auditors (audit files), motivation of staff and keeping a cordial relationship with corporate and assets managers, complete the acquisitions, disposals, transfers of investment assets for strategic planning (tax purposes), reviewing of the balances and compiling of trial balance per fund for checking purposes, preparing investment, units trust, debtors and creditors, assets unrealized gains recons, capture the overall transfer balancing journal, compiling financial statements for the cell captives and investments related statements and calculate the treasury shares and complete Interdev supporting for group reporting

Qualification:

B Com or Hons

2 years experience in similar role

Banking industry experience is essential
