This person will assist the production team with configurations (and part assembly )of slot machines – in the warehouse.
Job Summary:
• To configure machines in-house to ensure the customer receives a product which meets specification in terms of the order.
• To ensure that all products delivered to the customer meets the highest quality assurance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• To understand the company policies and to accept responsibilities for any unapproved software or hardware installed in any gaming environments.
• Ensure that the workshop is maintained in presentable state at all times.
• Fully accountable for all equipment, tools issued for technical storage.
• To program the software for the gaming EGMs during upgrades and game conversions.
• Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory Maintenance and Production.
General Responsibilities / Key Performance Objectives:
To work as an effective member of the Production team.
The repair and or modification of authorised repairs for the purposes of providing replenishment inventory to Internal and external customers.
To provide repair output in line with benchmarked output performance measured by the average time involved for each repair scenario.
Effective utilisation management of productive and non-productive hours.
Quality Assurance
Occupational Health and Safety:
Ensure you have an understanding of and comply with company and venue OH&S Policies, Procedures and Regulations including:
• The health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and contractors
• That accident/incident investigations are conducted
• That injured workers are rehabilitated to return to work ASAP
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work to an assigned daily Schedule and daily output target provided by the Senior Production Technician.
Ensure that all repair stations and production area are kept clean.
Ensure work and personal behaviour conforms to all company safety requirements, procedures and systems.
Service includes routine preventative maintenance, refurbish and removal of equipment, conversions and breakdown (out of order) repair.
Able to use hand tools (screwdriver, spanner, etc).
To distinguish technical specification between different customers.
To read/comprehend BOM, fill in material requisition for Stores
To ensure that, within a defined assembly line, gaming equipment is assembled such that it functions to specification and achieves maximum availability.
Cleaning and blanking of eproms
Able to transfer to different workstations (multiskilled workforce, not just restricted to one type of job/workstation).
To perform any task when required to do so, by management.
Ensure that repairs are not limited to specific or unique parts and that multi skilling of repairs exists as part of the repair role.
Report on all deficiencies recognised as part of the repair process on all parts, and to ensure that the Senior Production Technician is made aware of new faults.
Ensure that all daily targets set by the Senior Production Technician are met, and are in accordance to repair specifications provided.
Ability to work long hours, including weekends.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Inherent Requirements:
Minimum requirements:
N6 – Electrical Engineering / Electronics
Positive attitude, hard-working team player
Experience in gaming industry not essential
Typical Technical Expertise/ Qualifications:
S3 / N6 Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Electronics.
At least 3 years relevant experience
1. Friendly and positive personality with the ability to relate to and communicate with internal and external customers at all levels.
2. Articulate written and verbal communication skills.
3. A mature approach and professional presentation.
4. Ability to work autonomously and to multi-task.
5. Excel Computer literacy with regards to: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects
