JOB PURPOSE:
The Cashier is responsible to:
Ensure that cash in and cash outs matches sales
Contact and motivation of Crew.
Cash control and security thereof
Relationship building with Crew
Promoting on-board Promotions
Feedback from crew regarding the promotions i.e. Feeling from passengers
Reprocessing of rejected credit cards
Action short payments from crew
Balancing of Shift.
Inherent Requirements:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
QUALIFICATION:
Matric / Grade 12
OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL
ABILITY TO WORK SHIFTS ie. 6AM TO 1PM AND 1PM TO 8PM - Based on late arrivals of flights.
EXPERIENCE:
3 to 5 years Telling experience in a Banking or Retail environment.
3 to 5 years customer care experience
COMPETENCIES:
KNOWLEDGE:
1. Sound understanding of Reconciliation/Forex exchange rates.
2. Knowledge and Understanding of business processes, company policies and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the P.O.S System
4. Knowledge of credit card, debit card, EFT payment methods and ways of processing such transactions.
5. Ability to identify fraudulent transactions and ID Documents/Passports.
Skills:
1. Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
2. Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Microsoft exchange).
3. Strong organizational and time management skills
4. Highly flexible in being able to move effectively from one situation to another, work with different individuals and manage diverse projects.
5. Excellent communication skills, and is able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups in both written and verbal formats.
6. Displays effective judgment by applying commonsense, sound reasoning, knowledge and experience to come to logical conclusions.
7. Analytical skills in being detail conscious, closely monitoring work progress in order to achieve the desired results.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a wide range of individuals towards the achievement of business goals.
