Reports to the Production Manager
Company specialises in the production of high quality magazines, catalogues, brochures and periodicals. Currently seeking an energetic and lateral thinker with high regard for integrity and accountability, a suitably qualified person with knowledge of the printing environment, to take on this challenging role as Bindery Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Production planning
Analyse output against production plan and prepare reports.
Be able to do upstream process analysis to expidite efficient finishing.
Negotiate contract prices for consumables.
Adhere to maintenance planning and plan preventative maintenance.
Manage bindery department

Inherent Requirements:
Skills, Experience & Education:
NQF level 4
Mechanised Bookbinding Apprenticehip
Thorough understanding of bookbinding and print finishing.
Knowledge of new developments regarding equipment and work prosesses.
At least ten years bindery experience of which five years should have been at supervisory or managerial level.
